HYROX is a global fitness competition that stands out as the “World Series of Fitness Racing.” Since its inception in Germany in 2017, it has become the world’s largest mass-participation fitness race. HYROX welcomes participants of all fitness levels to compete in a series of events combining traditional endurance disciplines with functional movements.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or looking for a fresh challenge, HYROX is tailored for all fitness levels, emphasizing endurance, strength, and performance.
Training for HYROX involves a combination of cardio, strength, endurance, and mobility, all of which can translate to better athletic performance, including improved lifts in the gym.
The improvements in strength, flexibility and mobility also contribute to everyday activities, enhancing movement efficiency and minimizing injury risks.
Hyrox is a brand-new challenge that many gym goers haven't tried before. If you’re someone who performs best when they have a goal to work towards, signing up for a HYROX event can be a great way to provide some training variation and keep you motivated.
While training for HYROX can be challenging, the events are very rewarding and sociable. On competition day you’ll be cheered on by spectators and you’ll rival likeminded individuals who share similar goals to you.
The competition format consists of 8 x 1km runs interspersed with functional workouts, like rowing, walking lunges, wall balls, sled pushes and pulls — a format that remains consistent across all events, which are held in large indoor arenas around the world.
